Our office has the following positions available in York:

CERTIFIED NURSE MIDWIFE

The Women’s Healthcare Group, a division of Susquehanna Valley Women’s Health Care, has an opportunity for a CNM within a well-established, fast-paced, private OB/GYN practice.

We currently have 6 physicians, 6 CNMs and 4 CNPs; and perform over 1,000 deliveries per year at York Hospital located within two miles, with the majority of vaginal deliveries attended by CNMs.  Our Practice contains an in-house lab and ultrasound services as well.  

The position offers a combination of gynecology care and obstetrics with focus on patient care, including annual well women exams, birth control, family planning, prenatal and postnatal care, and education in all aspects of women’s health.

Candidates should have excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.  Exp. with women’s health and OB/GYN skills is preferable.  New graduate candidates with strong backgrounds will also be considered.  The ability to communicate with our Spanish speaking patients is preferred. Work schedule includes hospital call and office hours weekly.

LPN (FT)

Qualifications include, but not limited to:

  • Minimum of six (6) months experience in a medical or professional office setting
  • Proficient PC skills
  • Current licensure
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Schedule includes four (4) 10-hour day shifts, with flexibility a must.  Ob-Gyn experience preferred, not required.

MEDICAL ASSISTANT (FT)

Qualifications include, but not limited to:

  • Minimum of six (6) months experience in a medical or professional office setting
  • Current certification
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient multi-tasking skills

Schedule includes four (4) 10-hour day shifts, with flexibility a must.  Ob-Gyn experience preferred, not required.

DESK SPECIALIST (FT)

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Checking patients in and out
  • Insurance verifications
  • Scheduling appointments
  • Answering phones

Work schedule is (4) 10-hour days require mornings, afternoons, evenings and rotating Saturday mornings.  Flexibility in work schedule and ability to rotate through satellite offices is a must.

MEDICAL LAB TECHNOLOGIST (FT)

We have a rewarding and challenging opportunity for a full-time Medical Technologist for our busy Level III Lab.  Selected candidates will need to possess the following qualifications:

  • MT ASCP (or equivalent) or MLT ASCP
  • Proficient in phlebotomy
  • QC/QA
  • Proficiency as a Generalist
  • Injection skills, a plus
  • Proficient PC skills

Full-time position (30 hours per week) is Monday thru Thursday, 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Friday, 1:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

LABORATORY SUPERVISOR (FT)

Opportunity available in our Level III Lab located at our MGA location.  

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Maintain and implement quality control and quality assurance programs as mandated by the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) and other pertinent local, state or federal regulations
  • Oversee the day-to-day overall operation, leadership, direction and administrative duties of the lab
  • Ensure that policies, testing and procedures are established for all personnel with appropriate education and experience
  • Maintain competency and training records for all staff that performs pre-analytical, analytical and post analytical phases of testing

Qualifications include, but not limited to: 

  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proficient interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong financial skills for cost analysis
  • Strong competency with lab equipment, programming and interfaces 
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Generalist exp. a minimum 3-5 years
  • Previous supervisory exp. a plus
  • MT ASCP (or equivalent) or MLT ASCP

Work schedule is Monday through Friday.

MEDICAL ASSISTANTS (FT and PT)

Qualifications & skills include but not limited to:

  • Minimum of six (6) months experience in a medical or professional office setting
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient multi-tasking skills
  • Current certification preferred 

Full-time (4 10-hour days) and Part-time (approx. 20-25 hrs/week) positions are available at our MGA location(s).

Work schedules available require mornings, afternoons, evenings and rotating Saturday mornings.  Flexibility in work schedule and ability to rotate through satellite offices is a must.

BILLING SPECIALIST

Join the SVWHC Financial Center team!  We have an immediate opening for a full-time Billing Specialist.  Responsibilities include:

  • Posting insurance payments
  • Insurance Accounts Receivable follow-up
  • Obtaining insurance authorizations
  • Charge entry
  • Answering billing calls and conveying information in a clear, concise, and pleasant manner to patients
  • Cross-training for other positions within the Billing Department

Selected candidate will need to possess the following requirements/skills:

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to recognize, evaluate and solve problems and correct errors
  • Working knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 codes
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills
  • OB/Gyn experience not necessary, but preferred
