Our office has the following positions available in York:

CERTIFIED NURSE MIDWIFE

The Women’s Healthcare Group, a division of Susquehanna Valley Women’s Health Care, has an opportunity for a CNM within a well-established, fast-paced, private OB/GYN practice.

We currently have 6 physicians, 6 CNMs and 4 CNPs; and perform over 1,000 deliveries per year at York Hospital located within two miles, with the majority of vaginal deliveries attended by CNMs.  Our Practice contains an in-house lab and ultrasound services as well.  

The position offers a combination of gynecology care and obstetrics with focus on patient care, including annual well women exams, birth control, family planning, prenatal and postnatal care, and education in all aspects of women’s health.

Candidates should have excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.  Exp. with women’s health and OB/GYN skills is preferable.  New graduate candidates with strong backgrounds will also be considered.  The ability to communicate with our Spanish speaking patients is preferred. Work schedule includes hospital call and office hours weekly.

PHONE SCHEDULER (FT)

Responsibilities include:

  • Answering phone calls and scheduling appointments
  • Handling customer service inquiries
  • Updating patient account information
  • Will cross-train to fill in as a Medical Office Specialist at check in/check out as needed

Qualifications include:

  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a medical office or hospital setting
  • Proficient written communication & telephone skills
  • Scheduling experience preferred
  • Computer competency
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • OB/GYN experience preferred, not required
  • Bilingual a plus

Work schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

LPN (FT)

Qualifications include, but not limited to:

  • Minimum of six (6) months experience in a medical or professional office setting
  • Proficient PC skills
  • Current licensure
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Schedule includes four (4) 10-hour day shifts, with flexibility a must. Ob-Gyn experience preferred, not required.

MEDICAL ASSISTANT (FT)

Qualifications include, but not limited to:

  • Minimum of six (6) months experience in a medical or professional office setting
  • Current certification
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient multi-tasking skills

Schedule includes four (4) 10-hour day shifts, with flexibility a must. Ob-Gyn experience preferred, not required.

Work schedule is (4) 10-hour days require mornings, afternoons, evenings and rotating Saturday mornings.  Flexibility in work schedule and ability to rotate through satellite offices is a must.

  • Assisting Providers

Qualifications & skills include but not limited to:

  • Minimum of six (6) months of clinical experience in a medical or professional office setting

HUMAN RESOURCES COORDINATOR

Susquehanna Valley Women’s Health Care, a large ob-gyn practice, has an opening for a Human Resources Coordinator. Selected individual will work in both of our Lancaster and York locations.

The successful candidate must meet the following minimum qualifications and requirements:

  • Proficient verbal and written communication
  • Ability to multi-task and work in an environment with constant interruptions
  • Must be detail oriented and a very good time manager
  • Proficient organizational skill
  • Ability to handle absolute confidentiality
  • Ability to work as a team as well as independently
  • Exceptional PC skills (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Publisher, HR data base)
  • Experience in healthcare environment preferred, not required
  • Experience with ADP and/or payroll, a plus
  • Experience with multi-locations a plus
  • Bachelor or Associates Degree in Human Resources and/or 3-5 years of experience in the HR field. SHRM certification a plus.

Under the direction of the Human Resources Director, responsibilities and duties include; but are not limited to:

  • Embrace and promote divisional Core Values & Shared Purpose
  • Assists with recruitment by placing internal job postings and employment ads, facilitates screenings, interviews and tracking the selection of applicants
  • Conducts new employee orientations and onboarding
  • Assists with the administration of the annual benefit open enrollment
  • Tracks employee eligibility for all benefits and completes enrollments
  • Assists with the administration of the company 401(k) plan
  • Tracks and monitors FMLA compliance
  • Assists with the administration of ACA compliance
  • Assists with updating and communicating all company policies, procedures, etc., including the Employee Handbook
  • Updates all department records as/when needed
