Dennis R. Johnson, M.D Dennis R. Johnson, MD


Specializes in menopausal health issues

Dr. Johnson joined the WHCG in 1982. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina School of Medicine; he has a Master’s in Public Health from Johns Hopkins School of Public Health.  Outside of work, he enjoys sports (particularly golf) and travel.  He is completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at George Washington University Medical Center. Outside of work, he enjoys sports (particularly golf) and travel. He is completing a DVD program on midlife health which has been a passion of his for over a decade.  Dr. Johnson is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG).

William M. Unwin, M.D William M. Unwin, MD


Specializes in General Obstetrics and Gynecology, in particular laparoscopic surgery, infertility and peri/post menopausal health issues

Dr. Unwin joined the WHCG in 1989. He is a graduate of UMDNJ – Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and did his residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. “I try and balance my life at home with my work as a physician,” comments Dr. Unwin. He enjoys time with his wife and two daughters, and his hobbies include his three dogs, traveling, music and dancing. Dr. Unwin is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG).

Kathryn K. Hassinger, M.D Kathryn K. Hassinger, MD


Specializes in OB/GYN and treatment options for pelvic relaxation and urogynecology with minimally invasive surgery

Dr. Hassinger joined the WHCG in 1989. She is a graduate of the Medical College of Pennsylvania and completed her residency at York Hospital in Pennsylvania. She is a member of the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine. “When you deliver a healthy baby or complete a difficult surgery that has a great outcome for the patient, that is very rewarding,” says Dr. Hassinger. Out of the office, raising her children and gardening keep her busy. Dr. Hassinger is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG).

John J. Lawrence, M.D John J. Lawrence, MD


Specializes in urinary incontinence, pelvic prolapse, robotic surgeries

Dr. Lawrence joined the WHCG in 1993. He is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine and completed his residency at York Hospital. His hobbies include sports and travel. “Right now,” notes Dr. Lawrence, “I’m having a great time watching my young son grow up.” Dr. Lawrence is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG).

Meg K. Figdore, M.D Meg K. Figdore, MD


Specializes in OB/GYN and treatment for excessive bleeding

“I’ve been delivering babies since 1993, but I am still deeply touched when I see new parents excited by the birth of their child. The joy on their faces is so special. I love the variety of my work – delivering babies, performing surgery and education women on their health.”

Dr. Figdore joined the WHCG in 1997.She is a graduate of Jefferson Medical College and did her residency at Geisinger Medical Center in Pennsylvania. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, and swimming, biking, skiing and reading. Dr. Figdore is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG).

Kevin C. Wolverton, M.D Kevin C. Wolverton, MD


Specializes in minimally invasive and robotic surgeries, incontinence and fertility issues

Dr. Wolverton joined the WHCG in 2010. He is a graduate of the University of Nevada School of Medicine and did his residency at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Dr. Wolverton has participated in medical missions since medical school. “I am passionate about getting out and experiencing life,” says Dr. Wolverton. “I put all my professional training and experience to the test when I’m training local physicians in places like Kenya and Papua, New Guinea.These personal and professional experiences contribute to my work with my patients in the States.” He also enjoys sailing, skiing, photography and motorcycles. Dr. Wolverton is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG).

Amanda L. Bowman, DO Amanda L. Bowman, DO


Specializes in OB/GYN

“I am privileged to be able to bring new life into the world and to perform life-changing surgeries for women of all ages. I am with patients in both joyous and difficult times, and I value being a partner in these times and building long-term relationships with my patients.”

Dr. Bowman will be joining the WHCG in November 2012. She is a graduate of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her residency at York Hospital in Pennsylvania.  She is a member of the American Osteopathic Association and the Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association.  Dr. Bowman is passionate about being a contributing part of her community: "I enjoy taking the time to volunteer and participate in community events with my family." In her spare time, Dr. Bowman enjoys yoga and Pilates classes, spending time with her family and travel.
